LIZWE LAZO BOUNCES BACK WITH NEW MUSIC AFTER TAKING A BREAK

Lizwe Lazo a South African-based Malawian has returned to the music scene after taking a break from recording music. Talking to the musical artist in an interview, Lizwe Lazo mentioned that he was facing financial struggles, among other things to record new music.

He has now returned to the game with a new release ‘Uziwekha’. The new dancehall song is a description of how one has to work hard for a better present and future life. One of the lines of the song goes like “Inu man tiwekha zizitheka nthawi zina tizifewa nde sizibebha tizingopempha ndalama opanga ena” which translates to “Bro let’s put in work sometimes let’s have fun it doesn’t feel good when we beg and someone else has to be making the money”.

The song has been produced by Gift Mwacheka who is also known as Mind Works. The artist has said he will distribute his new song via various online platforms and traditional media such as the radio.  Before releasing this song the artist released other projects in 2014 like an EP that was recorded by DJ Mass who was residing in Blantyre Malawi.

In the year 2017, he released a track he did with Gibo (real name Gift Kadya) and they formed a label called M1 Live. After releasing that song he recorded another song in 2020 titled ‘Rude Bwoy’, 2021 he dropped another song titled ‘Lyk Dis, and thereafter he got featured in a track by another South African-based artist called Oniwe and the track was titled ‘Dweet’.

The artist plans to release an album since he has some other lengthy projects as well and he has promised to record more music. The artist’s real name is Lizwelanji Njovuyalema and he started doing music in 2011.
