MONDLANE RELEASES NEW MUSIC, TALKS OF HIS MUSIC BACKGROUND

His new project is in Back door riddim which is full of dancehall artists and his song ‘Bad Dancer’, explains how a guy talks to a girl he has met in a club. Part of his song goes “Tonight she wanna vibe with a Rasta, she wanna vibe with a gangster, she wanna vibe with a real OG, I’m like oh girl your body got the answers, Aw u such a bad dancer yeh”.

The artist releases his songs via streaming sites like Boomplay Amazon Music and Spotify, and he promotes his music via Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. Before releasing this project he dropped two songs titled ‘Call it peace’ and ‘Calling’. The songs featured Trey Star and they were produced by Third Generation.

Asking him where he sees himself five years from now heresponded “I see myself going global while still representing Malawi the Malawian culture”. The artist has so far worked with one famous artist Wakisa James and Mondlane explained that he has learned a lot from working with an artist like him.

The artist mentioned that he sees the creativity of other artists when he wants to feature them. When other artists want to work with him he charges sometimes. Just like most artists Mondlane has been facing problems in his career and the problem he has struggled with most is sourcing finances for his projects.

Mondlane was born Daniel Msiska and he took over the name Mondlane from his mother. He started music in the year 2020 and he has worked with over 7 artists. He has a number of singles and an Extended Play titled ‘Facts and Feelings’. The artist resides in Mzuzu and he does Afro Dancehall. Apart from music, the artist is also doing school. He also mentioned that he will release a new song titled ‘Let me tell you something’ at this month’s end.
